Dilemma

What is one supposed to do with a blog? I've read that it can be pretty much anything we want it to be, but alot of people use it for a journal. I'd really like to keep a journal and make it stick (hopefully the novelty of putting a journal on the web will facilitate that), because hand written journals last about two weeks for me.

The Internet. What a public medium for one's innermost thoughts. What worries me about blogs is what I call the Big Brother Factor. If you put someone in front of a camera that they know is there, I don't belive that anyone can "act naturally." By that I mean that it is difficult to act as though you are by yourself when you know you have an audience. This translates to blogs thusly: how can anyone know that these are my thoughts if they know I am writing them with the full knowledge that people will read them?

Honesty. That's the solution.
