CHOICE

I'm doing a little research into digital cameras (I will own one someday, oh yes, I will own one...) and I decided to join the Choice website. It's a very informative service. Check it out.

Ok, ok, I know this isn't the most scintillating post, but give me a break huh? I've been ill.

Ok now I've got something more interesting to write about (cheers abound from the cheap seats!). In searching for the happy yet unlucky fellow above I came across a site that details the invention of the humble yet ubiquitous smiley. It sets out, blow by blow, the conversations and thoughts that led to the simple colon-dash-bracket that because the original smiley. Take a peek, it might interest some of you. You'll need to read for a while before you get to the actual moment the first smiley was typed. Sort of like witnessing original footage of the Apollo moon landing.
