Interview: The Return

It seems I got it. I have been offered a full-time contract. True, the contract has an end date - not as good as a permanent position, but satisfying all the same. I am tempted to ask why I didn't get offered a permanent position (because, and it may sound a little conceited, I am pretty certain I am one of the better people here), but I think I will wait until I start the contract. Anyway, I am not like the dog carrying a bone across a bridge who, upon seeing his reflection in the stream below, makes a grab at the "other" dog's bone hoping to get it as well and in so doing loses both the real bone and the reflection. I will count the multitude of blessings in my life and endeavour to make myself indispensible to this organisation so they won't have the heart not to renew my contract when it comes up.
